H.R. 325 Ensures U.S. payment of obligations through May 19

Payment obligations of the United States Government will be ensured through May 19, 2013. This is accomplished by not enforcing, until the end of May 18, 2013, a specific United States code which would suspend payment of obligations of the United States Government.

If by April 15, 2013 Congress has not agreed to a budget for FY 2014, congressional pay will be held in escrow until:

  1. Congress agrees to a FY 2014 Budget   or
  2. The last day of the 113th Congress

The bill also identifies specific execution responsibilities of the Secretary of the Treasury and the payroll administrator.
