Should BT be allowed to take over TalkTalk even if it means less broadband competition?

BT has agreed a rescue deal for debt-laden TalkTalk, which has 1.5 million retail customers, and the government has stepped in on public-interest grounds. Saving services sounds good, but handing the biggest player even more of the market worries a lot of people. Necessary rescue or bad news for bills?
